MiSTer - Apple IIe design
This looks like a fairly complete port of an Apple IIe into an FPGA. In the projects own words "This the MiST port of a reconstruction of an 1980s-era Apple ][+ implemented in VHDL for FPGAs.". Its a good starting point if you interested in doing this or learning about it, since all the code can be downloaded and studied. GitHub Link Here.
